There it was, the lost city of Atlantis.

Those holograms that I had found said that Atlantis was a city swallowed by the sea eons ago, lost to space and time. Yet here before me stretched its magnificent ruins, scraping the sky and calling out to the heavens.

This is what we had been looking for.

Well basically this started with this :[link]

the original terragen render that I created from a tutorial with terrabrush. Then I decided that it would look really cool if it had all this overgrowth on it, like it had been abandoned or somthing. However, that was alot harder to do then I had first thought because of the weird lighting and shadows, so I ended up making it covered in kind of moss and then having the foliage only in the center. Then since I wasnt happy with it, espescially the plants, I decided to make it a space scene. I made a new planet (which I just lost because of a power outage, damit), added some cool clouds, and developed a new star/nebula method.

time: damn long. this was by far my longest peice, mainly because I had no idea how to manip the plants and I was just kind of stumbling along. around 40-50 hours i think.

Anyway critiques and favs appreciated as always :)

Lovely, and a very unusual Terragen scene too. It has avery warm paradise look with the orange haze. The 3D part though looks as if it is based at sunset, while the clouds and planets look like they are being lit from a midday sun. But I know this is an oldie, so I bet you have realised that by now.
